The FINRA Investor Education Foundation (FINRA Foundation) has announced the recipients of the first annual awards to FINRA Foundation Military Spouse Fellows for outstanding service and dedication to military service members and their families. The FINRA Foundation Military Spouse Fellowship offers military spouses the opportunity to earn a career-enhancing credential—the Accredited Financial Counselor® (AFC®) certificate—while providing financial counseling and education to the military community. Created in 2006, the program is administered in partnership with the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education® (AFCPE®) and the National Military Family Association (NMFA).

Global financial dignity and economic empowerment nonprofit, Operation HOPE, Inc., announced today a partnership with the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education® (AFCPE®) to certify HOPE financial wellbeing coaches with the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) designation.
